Cold shrinkable cable terminal: It is a component of various cable accessories formed by injection vulcanization molding of elastomer materials (commonly used silicone rubber and ethylene-propylene rubber) in the factory, then expanding, lined with plastic spiral support. During on-site installation, these pre-expansion parts shall be sleeved at the treated cable ends or joints, and the plastic spiral strips (supports) supported internally shall be pulled out and pressed on the cable insulation to form cable accessories. Because it is based on the elastic retraction force at normal temperature, rather than the shrinkage of heat-shrinkable cable accessories in case of fire, it is commonly known as cold-shrinkable cable accessories. In the early stage, the cold-shrinkable cable terminal only used silicon rubber cold-shrinkable parts for additional insulation, and the electric field treatment still used the stress cone type or the stress belt winding type.
Heat-shrinkable cable terminal: commonly known as heat-shrinkable cable terminal, it is widely used for the termination of cross-linked cables or oil-immersed cables with voltage grade of 35KV and below. Put on heat-shrinkable accessories and heat them directly. The thermal shrinkage of components is the key link of the quality of the thermal shrinkage head. The heating tool can be a high-power hair dryer or a blowtorch. Place the cable vertically before heating, which is beneficial to heating operation and uniform shrinkage of parts. Attention shall be paid when heating: ① The shrinkage temperature is ll0 ℃ - 120 ℃. ② Turn the torch flame to yellow and soft, and beware of high temperature blue flame.
